Selangor, Malaysia – Volunteers from UPF-Malaysia and the Women’s Federation for World Peace Malaysia visited the Ai Yi De Elderly Home in Selangor on February 7, 2026, to celebrate the Chinese New Year with a group of 20 elderly residents. The volunteers aimed to spread festive joy and remind the elderly that they are valued and remembered.
The program began with welcoming remarks from the home’s caregiver, followed by messages of appreciation and encouragement from leaders of both organizations. The celebration featured interactive games and singing, creating a lively and heartwarming atmosphere. Red packets (envelopes with small amounts of cash) were distributed as a symbol of blessings, and residents with February birthdays were honored in a joyful celebration.
The volunteers also donated essential groceries and daily necessities to support the home. The visit concluded with fellowship over lunch, leaving everyone with cherished memories of unity, care and gratitude.
UPF-Malaysia is committed to partnering with like-minded organizations to extend care, support, and hope to communities in need, while actively fostering a culture of volunteerism.
