The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) is launching the global “Harmony and Hope” campaign, a 100-day initiative running from United Nations Day, October 24, 2025, to February 1, 2026, the start of World Interfaith Harmony Week.
This initiative is dedicated to advancing unity, peace, and moral leadership. In line with the UN objectives for peace and sustainable development, the campaign invites partners and Ambassadors for Peace of UPF to strengthen collaboration, compassion, and integrity in leadership. Amid global challenges to solidarity, we call on leaders of conscience to uphold shared moral principles and advance dialogue grounded in mutual respect.
The campaign will focus on key UN international days, such as International Volunteer Day, Human Rights Day, and International Human Solidarity Day, using these observances to organize educational programs, community service projects, and dialogue forums that champion human dignity, interfaith harmony, and the family as a cornerstone of moral strength. These programs will promote UPF’s guiding principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universal values.
These programs are inspired by the vision of the founders of UPF, Dr. Hak Ja Han and the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon, whose legacy in moral renewal and interfaith solidarity continues to inspire international cooperation. Building on their example, the campaign encourages every UPF chapter to put these ideals into practice through interfaith collaboration, civic engagement, and youth initiatives that cultivate empathy and shared purpose. The founders consistently taught that genuine peace must rest on integrity, compassion, and service to humanity as one family under God.
The opening week of the campaign aligns with United Nations Day on October 24 and begins with Disarmament Week (October 24–30), dedicated to reducing armaments and promoting peaceful security approaches. This period also marks the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, a milestone that underscores renewed calls for dialogue, trust, and cooperative security.
This launch comes at a critical moment in international relations. Geopolitical tensions persist, yet there are also opportunities for strengthened multilateral cooperation. In this spirit, UPF chapters will organize programs that link the UN’s mission of peace with UPF’s vision of moral leadership, interfaith understanding, and responsible governance.
As the campaign moves toward World Interfaith Harmony Week, UPF places special emphasis on engaging religious and spiritual leaders. Their moral voice for compassion and strong families is vital to building trust among communities and demonstrating conscience-led collaboration worldwide.
As the world approaches the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development 2026, these 100 Days of Harmony and Hope aim to transform faith into action. UPF reaffirms its commitment to work with governments, civil society, and faith communities in fostering a culture of peace and the common good.
