Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – UMOA Trust International, a visionary organization dedicated to peacebuilding, legal advocacy, environmental awareness, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, marked its official launch on July 5, 2025, with an inspiring ceremony in Dar es Salaam. Held at QB Lounge in Mbezi Luis, the event signaled the birth of a transformative movement for Tanzania and Africa at large.
The launch was organized in collaboration with UPF-Africa and drew notable dignitaries and leaders. Dr. Adama Doumbia, president of UPF-Africa, traveled from Ivory Coast to participate in the event.
A highlight of the ceremony was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UMOA Trust International and UPF-Africa. This strategic partnership sets the stage for joint efforts to promote peace initiatives, educational outreach, and sustainable development programs across the African continent.
During the event, Prof. Benezer David Mwang’ombe was officially appointed and sworn in as the new secretary general of UPF-Tanzania. Other UPF leaders were recognized for their dedication and service.
The program also featured a Peace Ambassador Seminar facilitated by Dr. Adama Doumbia. This session culminated in the appointment of new peace ambassadors committed to spreading UPF’s vision of peace and cooperation: Bishop Benezer David Mwang’ombe, Bishop Wilson Mtatuu Ihucha, Rev. Rachel Kabunda, and Chief Muhidu Saidi Sadiki.
Speaking at the event, one leader described the occasion not merely as the launch of an institution, but as “the beginning of a transformative movement for Africa’s peace, education, and prosperity.”
UMOA Trust International now calls on partners, institutions, and change-makers across the continent to unite in building a more peaceful, empowered, and sustainable future for Africa.
