Bratislava, Slovakia – For 15 years UPF-Slovakia has held events in support of Interfaith Harmony Week. This year's theme, “Seach for God,” drew great interest from faith leaders and audience alike. On February 5, 2026, 50 persons gathered at the Peace Embassy in Bratislava.
Guests were invited to reflect on where to search for the Creator. Each religion offers different answers and tools, and the invited faith leaders gave answers according to their scriptures and personal experiences.
Mr. Miloš Klas, president of UPF-Slovakia, in his welcoming address outlined the increasing pressure on religions and believers in the public sector, especially from the media. A colorful slide show displayed various names of God – Universal Prime Force, Heavenly Father, Supreme Being, Ultimate Reality, The Creator, Cosmic Mind, Great Spirit, Anima Mundi, Highest Self, Yahweh, Allah and OM. Afterwards followed a video and readings of The Lord´s Prayer based on the Aramaic language, which differs considerably from the commonly known version. That became a highlight of the evening, touching many hearts.
Rev. Miroslav Rybár from the Family Federation described the experience of an American pastor who met the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon during a visit to Korea. The pastor was impressed by the natural and intense way that Rev. Moon spoke about God. Next, the Ukrainian priest Father Ihor Marusyn talked about the relationship to God taught by Jesus.
Ms. Katarína Mikitová from the AllatRa movement commented on their video, “Scientific Proof of the Existence of God.” Ms. Elena Selecká from the Sri Chinmoy Center explained how she experiences God´s presence in daily life. Mr. Raghunatha Priya Das, from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, gave an inspiring talk about the embracing love of God for every being.
To lighten up the program, the music video “Every Praise,” composed by Hezekiah Walker, was shown, inspiring the guests to clap and sing along. Then the Baptist preacher Rev. Dušan Uhrín spoke about the road from doubt to faith. Mr. Pavel Mudra and Ms. Olga Zadnančinová showed the video “Respect the Religion of Others” and explained how Scientology defines God. Finally, Pastor Arnold Tupan from the Pentecostal community praised the interreligious work of the Universal Peace Federation.
The final touch to the two-hour program was the famous music video, “One Day – Matisyahu” from an interfaith concert in Haifa, Israel. There followed relaxed chats over refreshments, during which many guests expressed appreciation for the messages.
