Conakry, Guinea – On September 18, 2025, UPF-Guinea celebrated the UN International Day of Peace, ahead of the national referendum scheduled for September 21. The event promoted peace, reconciliation, and social stability, with a special focus on vulnerable communities.
Participants, including ambassadors for peace, local peace advocates, religious and community leaders, and women’s associations, gathered to issue a public call for dialogue, tolerance, and unity. An interfaith prayer for national stability was offered, and humanitarian support in the form of food and essential supplies was distributed to those in need, reinforcing solidarity across communities.
The event strengthened commitment to peace and reconciliation, fostered interfaith collaboration, and showcased UPF-Guinea’s role in promoting social cohesion during critical national moments. Coverage by local television amplified the message, ensuring it reached a wider audience and highlighted the importance of collective engagement for a peaceful and inclusive Guinea.
