Monrovia, Liberia – In collaboration with the National Association of Social Workers of Liberia, UPF-Liberia celebrated the Global Day of Parents on June 30, 2025 with a one-day workshop held at the University of Liberia’s Capitol Hill Campus in Monrovia.
The event brought together 53 students and alumni from four universities in Monrovia, focusing on professional development, with presentations on leadership, ethics, financial practices, organizational performance, and conflict resolution. A highlight was the impactful session on Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution led by the UPF-Liberia secretary.
Seven families were honored with certificates in recognition of their exemplary parenting. The program was coordinated and hosted by Ms. Felecia J. W. Dorbor, UPF-Liberia chaplain, whose leadership and dedication played a central role in the event’s success.
This activity is one of many conducted by UPF-Africa chapters, aimed at cultivating lasting peace through intergenerational cooperation, spiritual and moral education, and the renewal of the family as the school of love.
