Voronezh, Russia – A series of engaging and inspiring lessons for high school students took place in Voronezh on April 8, 2026, as part of the environmental program “Caring for the Future.” The initiative was organized by Ms. Elena Knyazeva, head of UPF-Voronezh and coordinator of environmental programs in Russia.
The purpose of the event was to spark young people’s interest in environmental issues, sustainable development, agriculture and social responsibility.
During the program, students participated in interactive sessions where they discussed real environmental challenges facing their region and gained practical knowledge about how they can contribute to the sustainable development of their city and country. Special attention was given to opportunities in eco-entrepreneurship, volunteerism and active civic engagement.
One of the partners of the educational initiative was AGROECO, a major Russian agro-industrial company and one of the country’s largest producers of pork and animal feed, operating a fully integrated production cycle – rom feed cultivation to product processing – ensuring quality control and biosecurity at every stage.
Thanks to the participation of partners, students received practical knowledge about food production and agroecology, an understanding of corporate social responsibility, skills in critical thinking and discussing environmental topics, and inspiration for their own projects in the field of sustainable development.
The event in Voronezh served as an important educational platform that brought together youth, experts and business representatives to jointly discuss environmental challenges and ways to address them. It once again highlighted the importance of fostering environmental awareness and civic responsibility among the younger generation.
