Auckland Celebrates UPF Founder’s Legacy of Love and Peace

Auckland, New Zealand – A memorial to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the passing of UPF founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon was held at the Parnell Peace Embassy on August 29, 2026. The “Legacy of Love and Peace Exhibition” highlighted Rev. Moon’s lifelong dedication to peace, interfaith harmony, family values, humanitarian service, education, and the vision of “one human family under God.”


Through speeches, music, a video presentation, and a guided exhibition tour, participants reflected on his contributions and their continuing relevance to peacebuilding in New Zealand and Asia-Pacific. The gathering also reaffirmed the ongoing peace and community initiatives of UPF-New Zealand.


Notable guests included Mr. Kelvyn Alp, Mr. Eliot Ikirei, and Mr. Harjit Singh. A musical performance of “The Impossible Dream,” the presentation on Rev. Moon’s life and legacy, and the guided exhibition tour provided meaningful moments of reflection and engagement for everyone present.
