Vancouver Seminar Explores Principles of Conflict Resolution

Vancouver, Canada – Twenty lively UPF supporters participated in a seminar on conflict resolution held by UPF-Vancouver on June 29, 2025. Mr. Alan Wilding, director of UPF-Western Canada, provided an in-depth presentation that built on a previous series of seminars and elaborated on the five core principles of UPF.


Mr. Benjamin Takeawoa, assistant director of UPF-Vancouver and a key organizer of the event, served as MC.


Mr. Jasan Lidar and Mr. Japham Gill, co-directors of HKL-Humility, Kindness and Love in Vancouver, participated for the first time. HKL is hosting an international conference on Aug. 2, 2025, in which UPF is invited to participate.  


In attendance were also linguistics professor Dr. Youri Pankratz, a founding ambassador for peace in Canada; Dr. Katsumi Kambashi, pastor at Family Federation for World Peace Vancouver and Western Canada; and Dr. Stephen Adikwu, an environmental and sustainable energy activist, who has shared many positive life-changing experiences through his affiliation with UPF.


Mr. Cristatus Foreface was presented the Ambassador for Peace certificate for his enthusiastic attendance and support of UPF activities.


On July 1, Canada’s birthday, UPF-Vancouver participated in the annual Canada Day parade in Steveston Village, a Vancouver suburb, attended by approximately 200,000 spectators. Later in the day UPF representatives attended a special Canada Day event sponsored by the Ahmadiyyah Mosque.
