Prague, Czechia—Life’s basic laws were the topic of a UPF lecture titled “Universal Principles in Our Daily Life.”
The topic was addressed by Dr. Peter Dvornický, a graduate of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. An audience of about 12 attended the lecture given on June 21, 2023, in the Prague Peace Embassy.
In his presentation, Dr. Dvornický explained the basic universal laws concerning dual characteristics and the necessity for each existing being to go through a period of growth.
The give-and-receive action between each created being’s dual characteristics forms the foundation for that being’s existence, life and multiplication.
The nuclear family is the fundamental unit for a good society, Dr. Dvornický said. The family is the best environment for developing our character and heart. It is the first environment that a newborn experiences when it comes into the world.
The Root and Origin of the universe must have characteristics that are similar to those of the created universe, the speaker said. The most important aspect of the Original Being is Heart.
In the second part of his presentation, Dr. Dvornický focused on human responsibility and human freedom. People have not only freedom but also responsibility. These two aspects are closely interconnected and need to be taken into consideration.
Finally, Dr. Dvornický addressed the question: Is there a spiritual world or life after death? According to the law of resemblance, he said, the physical world must have a counterpart in the form of a spiritual world, similar to how a human being consists of a physical body and a spiritual mind.
The participants appreciated the lecture and in the following discussion asked many questions.
