Vladivostok, Russia – UPF-Russia representatives took part in Mother's Day celebrations in different cities on the weekend of November 29-30, 2025. Traditionally, Mothers’ Day in Russia is celebrated on the last Sunday of November, as a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the love, care, and selfless devotion of mothers.
On November 30, a “Happy Mom” family festival took place in the welcoming House with Ice curling center in Vladivostok. Ms. Maria Sergienko, representing UPF-Russia, attended with her family.
Ms. Sergienko introduced UPF’s mission and its “Peace Road” project, aimed at strengthening international cooperation and friendship among nations, to the festival organizers. Warm connections were established and possibilities were identified for continued collaboration on future family-oriented and peacebuilding initiatives.
The festive program was rich and diverse. While mothers enjoyed learning to play curling, fathers spent time with the children in the main stage area, where a concert dedicated to Mother’s Day was held. Touching songs, poetry, and dance performances created an atmosphere of joy, love, and gratitude.
Many families took part in creative workshops: making a family tree, designing greeting cards, and writing letters of appreciation to their parents and ancestors. Children delighted in taking photos with a chameleon and a white snake, having their faces decorated with bright face painting, and making heartfelt wishes for their families.
A particularly meaningful and symbolic moment of the festival was the “Blessing from Mothers to Their Daughters” — warm words about a happy future, wisdom, family well-being, and the prosperity of the entire family lineage, spoken in an atmosphere of love and respect.
The event became a wonderful platform for strengthening family values, mutual understanding, and creative unity. UPF-Russia is pleased to support initiatives that promote peace beginning from the family – the foundation of a harmonious society.
Kazan – A warm and inspiring creative gathering took place on November 29, the eve of Mothers’ Day, at the Universal Temple – a unique cultural and architectural complex in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, a federal subject of the Russian Federation.
The Universal Temple, also known as the Temple of All Religions, symbolizes harmony and respect among the world’s faith traditions. Displaying diverse cultural and artistic elements, it was the perfect setting for this celebration dedicated to the universal value of a mother’s love.
The evening featured poetry, music, and touching stories. The sounds of the flute, piano, guitar, clarinet, and violin filled the hall, creating an atmosphere of warmth, respect, and appreciation. Many speakers highlighted a key idea: a mother’s love has the power to unite people, heal hearts, and bring hope.
UPF’s co-founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han, known in many countries as the Mother of Peace, exemplifies that motherhood is not only the gift of life but also the mission to cultivate harmony in the world — nurturing love, compassion, and responsibility. This spirit could be felt in every performance and every word shared that evening.
Although the participants came from different cities and represented a diversity of cultures and traditions, the gathering concluded with friendly tea and a deep feeling of unity.
Everyone left with the shared realization: motherly love truly brings people together.
