Conakry, Guinea – Following the regional launch of the 100-Day Harmony and Hope Campaign in Lomé on October 23, 2025, UPF-Guinea organized two key activities to mobilize communities and strengthen the capacity of ambassadors for peace. These events were held at the provisional UPF headquarters and reflected the country’s commitment to fostering unity, love, and reconciliation.
The first activity, held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, focused on community mobilization and awareness. Led by UPF-Guinea Secretary General Mr. Claude N’Guessan, the event brought together a diverse gathering representing associations of women and youth, local authorities, members of government, a delegation from the presidential family, the first vice president of the National Transition Council, religious leaders, civil society representatives, traditional communicators, former ministers and deputies, and press associations.
Throughout the session, speakers emphasized the core objectives of the 100-Day Campaign: love for one’s neighbor, forgiveness, acceptance of differences, the importance of living together peacefully, and the preservation of a climate of peace. The event began with prayers offered for peace and for the Mother of Peace, creating a solemn and hopeful atmosphere that resonated with all participants. The discussions and exchanges fostered a strong sense of unity and inspired commitment to the campaign’s vision.
The second activity, held from October 27 to 29, 2025, centered on capacity building for ambassadors for peace. Over three days, selected ambassadors participated in an intensive training program facilitated by Mr. N’Guessan. The sessions covered fundamental information about UPF – the history of its co-founders, its mission, areas of intervention, affiliated organizations, and character education programs – followed by a discussion of the types of conflict in Guinea, and possible steps for conflict resolution.
Additionally, UPF-Guinea leadership announced their 2025 action plan, and the appointment of several leaders within affiliated organizations. The participants engaged actively in discussions, reflecting on how they could contribute meaningfully to fostering peace and harmony within their communities. The three-day training left attendees better equipped to serve as advocates of peace and reinforced the principles of collaboration, respect and reconciliation.
Both events radiated enthusiasm, dedication, and hope. During the mobilization activity, the presence of high-level leaders and community representatives created a feeling of unity and shared responsibility. Prayers and discussions fostered reflection and spiritual connection. At the training workshop, the atmosphere was focused, collaborative, and energizing, with participants actively engaging in learning, asking questions, and sharing ideas. Together, these activities strengthened the foundation for Guinea’s active participation in the 100-Day Harmony and Hope Campaign.
