Jerusalem, Israel – UPF-Israel and the International Association of Arts and Culture for Peace (IAACP) hosted a landmark "Art for Peace" gathering at the gallery of the prestigious Jerusalem Theatre on September 28, 2026. This inaugural event marked a historic milestone as the first official IAACP program in Israel, launched under the leadership of renowned artist Dr. Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman, in her capacity as IAACP's official representative and a UPF ambassador for peace.

Centered on the theme "Listening and Connecting to Your Inner Voice," the evening brought together artists, distinguished guests, and peace advocates for an inspiring blend of spiritual reflection, artistic excellence and cultural diplomacy.

The event opened with greetings from Mr. Hod Ben Zvi, chair of UPF-Israel. Speaking in the cultural heart of Jerusalem, Mr. Ben Zvi highlighted the significance of launching IAACP’s presence in Israel through the extraordinary life journey and creative vision of Dr. Arman. He emphasized how her personal narrative – born in post-war Germany to Holocaust survivor parents – forged an artistic language rooted in memory, suffering, resilience and hope. He recounted her courageous return to creation following the loss of her beloved daughter, Aviva Tikva, honoring a sacred promise never to cease sharing her art with the world.

Celebrating this first national IAACP initiative, Mr. Ben Zvi underscored that art and culture possess an unmatched power to transcend diplomatic boundaries, heal human hearts, and unite humanity as One Family under God.

"As we establish IAACP’s mission here in Israel, Miriam demonstrates that art is not merely decorative, but a practical instrument for transformation, for elevating the human spirit, and for building bridges of peace," Mr. Ben Zvi stated.

Following the opening remarks, Dr. Arman delivered a captivating keynote presentation on "Listening and Connecting to Your Inner Voice." In her signature passionate and expressive style, she shared intimate glimpses of her childhood in post-war Germany, reflecting on how early experiences shaped her search for truth, expression and spiritual calling. She articulated her core artistic philosophy: that all of her diverse creative endeavors, whether as an internationally renowned vocal pedagogue, author, poet or plastic artist pioneering 3D glass fusion, stream from a single, unified source.

For Dr. Arman, the "inner voice" is the active compass that has guided her entire life and career. She explained that true multidisciplinary art occurs when an artist surrenders to this internal divine guidance, allowing it to manifest across different mediums to touch and elevate the human soul.

Attendees left the gallery deeply inspired by the message that peace begins within, by tuning in to our inner voice, and spreads outward through culture, unity and artistic devotion.
