Helsinki, Finland – UPF-Finland organized a one-day seminar on Principles of Peace, held at the Cultural and Conference Hotel in Helsinki on October 21, 2023. The 33 attendees included Imam Abdoul-Majid Tahirou-Varjonen of the Islamic Heritage House, and several participants from the African and African-European Association.
Dr. David Hanna’s presentations, marked by his fine cultural sensitivity and spiced with humor, kept everyone focused. Clairvoyant and author Mrs. Johanna Broman offered a message of support, and presented gifts to UPF representatives for their devoted work.
Finally, Mr. Sorie Obaj Kamara, Sierra Leone’s Music Ambassador to Europe, was appointed as a new Ambassador for Peace, joining UPF's global network of peace leaders. He was recognized for his cultural and humanitarian work, including helping to overcome Ebola in his home country by organizing support from Finland.
