Nigerian Stakeholders Plan Inauguration of IAED

Abuja, Nigeria – On July 30, 2025, UPF-Nigeria convened a strategic meeting at the Peace Embassy to discuss the inauguration of the International Association for Peace and Economic Development (IAED).
The meeting began with a prayer led by Amb. Abdullahi Ibrahim Nda and included introductory remarks by Dr. George Charles Ikpot, UPF-Nigeria secretary general, who emphasized the importance of creating an economic platform to enhance business development and peacebuilding.
Chief Amb. Tunde shared his insights on fostering Nigeria–China cooperation, focusing on opportunities in mineral resources, training programs in engineering and aviation, and collaboration on mass housing and automobile manufacturing.
The meeting also featured contributions from Dr. Ahmed Muhammed Sani, who highlighted the need for IAED to serve as a platform for innovation, training, and economic dialogue.
Key resolutions included:
· Establishing an investor protection unit in partnership with traditional leaders
· Creating a trade portal for transparency and global visibility
· Organizing seminars and summits with state governors to expand IAED’s reach
· Upholding character and integrity standards among ambassadors for peace
The meeting concluded with a renewed call to strengthen partnerships, promote human development, and position IAED as a bridge between Nigeria and international investors.
