Aukland, New Zealand – The third annual Youth and Family Peace Day, sponsored by UPF-New Zealand and partner organizations on November 8, 2025, brought together over 150 participants from diverse cultural, faith, and community groups. Held at the Due Drop Event Centre, the program featured keynote messages, family-strengthening presentations, youth-focused breakout activities, and interfaith blessings promoting inclusivity and unity.
Two MCs hosted the program, representing two generations: Mr. Geoffrey Fyers, secretary general of UPF-New Zealand, and Mr. Amon Watanabe, representative of FFWPU Youth.
The keynote speech was delivered by Hon. Ross Robertson, former speaker of the New Zealand Parliament, who highlighted the importance of building strong families as foundational to nation building and societal progress.
Participating groups included the Catholic Diocese, the LDS Church, Scientology, FFWPU-New Zealand,
Women’s Federation for World Peace New Zealand, Nixcrew, Impact New Zealand, and the Chandigarh Club.
Cultural performances from Indian, Chinese, and Pasifika communities added vibrancy to the event, while exhibition tables provided opportunities for networking and collaboration. The program concluded with a “Visioning the Future” ceremony, as preparations began for the fourth Youth and Family Peace Day in November 2026.
The event strengthened family and youth engagement through dynamic sessions on marriage culture, youth responsibility, and becoming inclusive blessed families. Interfaith leaders and multicultural performers enriched the atmosphere, reinforcing the message of unity and peace. Participants expressed appreciation for the collaborative spirit and renewed commitment to community harmony.
