Chișinău, Moldova – On July 6, 2025, UPF-Moldova, together with Youth and Students for Peace, participated in DemFest Moldova 2025 at the Arch of Triumph in Chișinău. This annual event was organized by the Eastern European Centre for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD) and the Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy (DIPD). More than 300 participants brought their youthful energy, ideas, and creativity to this dynamic program.
This year, UPF and YSP co-hosted a tent at the festival, where volunteers enthusiastically explained the organizations’ various initiatives, including Youth Club, a weekly gathering of young people full of positive energy and inspiration. They also led visitors in activities that were interactive, engaging, and inspiring for all.
At a panel discussion in the afternoon, Ms. Cornelia Garanovschi, director of YSP Moldova, spoke passionately about the active engagement of her generation in shaping democracy. Her presentation drew inspiration from the ideas of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founder of both UFP and YSP, highlighting that modern democracy should be guided by the principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and shared values.
DemFest 2025 was a unique opportunity for young people to connect, learn, and share ideas about democracy and active citizenship; UPF and YSP Moldova were proud to contribute to this vibrant dialogue for a better future.
