Malaysia Initiative Provides Support to Low-income Students
Selangor, Malaysia – Providing students from low-income families with practical assistance – both material and educational – is the goal of an initiative developed by UPF-Malaysia called “Circle of Light.” On September 2, 2026, UPF-Malaysia, in partnership with Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) Malaysia, brought this program to Pulau Carey High School in Selangor.
The program featured multiple distributions of community and educational support under the Circle of Light initiative and WFWP Malaysia's "Give Me a Chance" program. On this day, 22 students received grocery packages to support their daily needs, and eight students were provided with refurbished laptops to assist with digital learning and studies.
In addition, students participated in an interactive vegetable planting activity using recycled plastic bottles, giving them a practical and enjoyable lesson on recycling, planting and environmental care.
The program concluded with UPF expressing gratitude to WFWP Malaysia, Pulau Carey High School, teachers, volunteers and supporting partners for their collaboration in fostering peace in action and community care.
