Updated: Jul 11

Beirut, Lebanon – Clergy from 12 religious groups joined an interfaith gathering at the Palm Beach Hotel in Beirut on May 28, 2025, organized by UPF-Lebanon. Religious leaders included both Sunni and Shia Muslims, Druze and Christians.

Speakers included Father Joseph Saghbini of St. John the Baptist Church, Sheikh Ali Yousef Al Sayed Qassem of the Center for Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue, and Rev. In Pyo Moon of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU). They highlighted the importance of interreligious collaboration as a foundation for peace, as well as concepts that are shared among the various religions.

Rev. In Pyo Moon introduced a team of young FFWPU members from Korea, who entertained the gathering with songs and instrumental performances.

To conclude, the leaders were presented with a copy of UPF co-founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s autobiography in Arabic, followed by a dinner characterized by further fellowship and friendship.
