Family Atmosphere Marks Day of Peace Event in Bulgaria

Sofia, Bulgaria – To celebrate the UN International Day of Peace, UPF-Bulgaria held an event at the Peace Embassy in Sofia on September 24, 2026. Participants included local families, ambassadors for peace, longstanding supporters and new guests. Some participants had travelled from as far afield as Croatia and Japan. Participants mixed and mingled in a warm and family-like atmosphere.


Among those attending were Mrs. Zoya Paprikova, one of Bulgaria’s first ambassadors for peace, and members of the family of Mr. Koko Kovachev, a renowned physiotherapist who was recently appointed an ambassador for peace.


Ms. Michaela Sergeeva and Mr. Peter Vangelov gave presentations exploring the historical and spiritual significance of the International Day of Peace, as well as UPF’s achievements over the years.


The event concluded with an uplifting concert by Angel’s Smile, a musical group led by Mr. Peter Vangelov.
