Bogota, Colombia – A group of twenty religious and social leaders representing different faiths – including Catholics, Unificationists and Taoists – participated in a forum entitled "Interreligious Views on Jesus Christ" on June 18, 2026, in Bogota.
The event was a joint initiative between UPF-Colombia and ACRE (Colombian Assembly of Religions and Spiritualities), to promote universal values and profound theological reflections. Since 2025, the two groups have sponsored a series of breakfast forums, featuring presentations on topics such as understanding of God, Satan and Jesus Christ, and other issues involving doctrine and sacred texts.
Following the discussion, UPF’s five principles of peace were presented, and participants were encouraged to assume responsibility for building peace through example. At the end, five new Ambassadors for Peace were appointed.
Following the appointment of Peace Ambassadors, the group joined in singing a song called “Thank You,” expressing appreciation for one another, their shared experience, and reinforcing the concepts of peace, true love, and hope for a renewed Colombia and a better world.
