Insights into Training the Mind Described in Spain

Barcelona, Spain - Richard Rotllàn, a former Thubten Phunsog Buddhist monk, gave a lecture on "Training the Mind: Proper Management of Emotions," on June 28, 2014, in Barcelona.

He shared insights into the complex ways in which the mind operates and taught techniques, such as focusing on a point in the nose and feeling the air passing in and out, that can help free the mind from disturbing thoughts. The uncontrolled mind is the cause of suffering, he said, and the controlled mind allows people to achieve inner peace.

In this one-hour presentation, he awakened the audience's interest, and people asked questions and described their own experiences. Some people came to the presentation because they listen to his radio program each morning on Catalunya Radio.
