Building Bridges between Estonia and Russia

Tallinn, Estonia - A meeting of Ambassadors for Peace was held in Tallinn on July 2. The program was about the dialogue between Russia and Baltic States. The leader of UPF-Estonia, Johann Hinterleiter, was MC of the program. The guests representing NGOs, businesses, and governmental organizations, discussed the basics of the dialogue within the post-Soviet territories.

Leaders of the Universal Peace Federation Jacques Marion, UPF-Eurasia, and Konstantin Krylov, UPF-Russia, spoke before the audience. Ruta Pels, representative of the “People to People” organization, emphasized the urgent need for cooperation and grassroots diplomacy involving grassroots organizations. Ambassadors for Peace planned further steps in expanding practical projects within the Baltic Dialogue.

It should be noted that the seminar was held during the Football Championship "Parnu Summer Cup 201l" in Estonia, which took place from June 30 to July 3. The Universal Peace Federation sent its team, the sports club “Brateyevo” from Moscow. They participated in the championship for the second time.
