Congo Hosts Central Africa UPF Summit

Brazzaville, Congo - An international summit of UPF's Central African sub-region was held in Brazzaville from June 11 to 13. This Summit was supported by the Presidency of the Republic and by the National Peace Council. It had a substantial impact on the nation.
On July 31, an Extraordinary General Meeting of UPF-Congo took place for the installation of new officers. Gen. Blaise ADOUA, previously President of the National Peace Council, was installed as the new Chairman of UPF-Congo, and Dr. Justin Koumba, formerly chairman, was installed as honorary President.

Bangkok, Thailand—The latest Asian Leadership Conference on “Providing Vision and Leadership for Nation-building and Peace” took place in Bangkok with 23 participants from six nations.
New Delhi, India—The International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP) was launched in India at a conference UPF co-organized with the North East MPs Forum.
