Chisinau, Moldova—Young people of Moldova had the chance to speak with the youngest members of Parliament in a series of online events.
In the second half of March 2021, UPF organized four Youth Peace Talks in collaboration with the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP), an affiliated organization, and the National Youth Council of Moldova.
In each hour-long event, a different parliamentarian told about their experiences in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and answered the young attendees’ questions.
The March 16 meeting had a total of 63 participants on Zoom and Facebook; the March 23 meeting had a total of 86 participants; the March 24 meeting—90 participants; and the March 29 meeting had a total of 49 participants.
The video recordings of the meetings were quite popular on Facebook, with one of the events receiving 3,700 views. The other three videos had an average of over 1,000 views.
