UPF Chapters in Nepal and Russia Celebrate International Youth Day

UPF chapters celebrated International Youth Day, Aug. 12, 2013, in Nepal and Russia.
The theme for the UN International Youth Day 2013 was ‘Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward.’ Youth are recognized as one of the most mobile social groups in the context of migration – they form about 30 percent of international migrants! Yet very little is known about the livelihood struggles and opportunities that migration presents for young migrants and other youth who are affected by migration. UN International Youth Day 2013 raised awareness about the situation of these young people as well as the role of youth-led organizations in addressing migration issues.
