Young Albanians Compete in Peace Cup Tournament

Albania-2019-05-09-Young Albanians Compete in Peace Cup Tournament

Bilisht, Albania—For the first time, a Peace Cup tournament for young football players was held in Albania.

Korçë County chapters of UPF and its affiliated organization Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) organized the competition on May 9, 2019, in the town of Bilisht.

Following the Peace Cup motto of “Play football, build peace,” the values of teamwork and living for the sake of others were emphasized throughout the tournament.

Local officials and Peace Cup organizers awarded trophies and medals to the winning teams and individual players. Family and community members came out to support the players.

The event was organized with the support of local Ambassadors for Peace.
