Djeno, Congo Brazzaville—UPF-Congo Brazzaville celebrated the UN International Day of Peace with the theme “Ending Racism. Building Peace,” on Friday, September 30, 2022 in the Mwanz Community Hall in Djeno. The event, which was sponsored by the Mayor of Ngoyo, an Ambassador for Peace, had about forty participants, including some local notables and state agents, and the representative of UNESCO, as well as Ambassadors for Peace.

The event started with an introductory prayer offered by the FFWPU national leader, Rev. Norbert Ndielle, followed by remarks given by the departmental chairman, Michel Bounda. The opening speech was given by the mayor of Ngoyo who thanked the UPF as well as the True Mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, for her work and her determination to establish a unified world of peace. He expressed the wish that such initiatives be ongoing in all social strata. The theme was developed by the secretary general of the UPF Pointe-Noire, Augustin Zodji, who using the philosophy of True Parents showed the origin of evil and how we can restore order. He emphasized how much we need to break down racial barriers and put God at the center of everything. The speech of the Secretary General of the United Nations was read by the representative of UNESCO. This was followed by a question-and-answer session. The ceremony ended with refreshments offered by the Town Hall of Ngoyo.
