The topic of these conferences was ''Leadership and Good Governance for Peace and Democracy.'' During the conferences 32 new Ambassadors for Peace were appointed in Lome and nine in Kara. In Kara, a police officer received an Ambassador for Peace certificate and promised to work to promote peace. In Lome some traditional leaders were appointed Ambassadors for Peace.

The topic resulted in a very constructive debate and offered an opportunity to explain the vision of the UPF Founders Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon about peace and good governance.

Speakers included Togbui NUKAFU III, 1st Vice-president of the National Peace Council of UPF-Togo, and Rev. Sagbo, the president of the National Peace Council of UPF-Togo.

The conference was chaired by Rev. Dieudonné S. Kagni, and his talk on leadership and good governance for peace and democracy helped people understand the importance of the time we are living in.
