Ambassadors for Peace Meet in Chile

Santiago, Chile - Ambassadors of Peace met in Santiago Oct. 3, 2014 with Dr. Charles S. Yang, chair of UPF international; Rev. Dong Mo Shin, chair of UPF-South America; and Dr. Simao Ferabolli, secretary general of UPF-South America, who were visiting UPF chapters in various parts of South America.

The meeting began with introductory remarks by Dr. Ferabolli; then he introduced Rev. Shin, who explained about the work of UPF international, showing a video of UPF's activities before introducing Dr. Yang, who showed a PowerPoint presentation about key speakers at UPF's World Summits 2013 and 2014. 

After that, some of the Ambassadors gave a few words, including Bishop Edito Christian Espinoza, who thanked the speakers and expressed a desire to develop the work of UPF in Chile. Then Mrs. Namuncura Rosa, representing the Mapuche people, expressed her feelings about the historical injustices experienced by her people. Sister Karoline Mayer, a German missionary who has invested much heart in Chile, expressed hope and reaffirmed her commitment to continue working until a more stable peace is reached. Ms. Ximena Ferran was the final speaker among the Ambassadors for Peace.

The participants expressed appreciation to the visitors.
