UPF Representative Speaks at Leadership and Personal Growth Conference in Nicaragua

Matagalpa, Nicaragua—Dr. Chang Shik Yang, a representative of UPF-Central America and the Caribbean, was a speaker at the IV Congress on “Business Leadership and Personal Growth,” held at the University of Commercial Sciences of Matagalpa, Nicaragua on March 17, 2016. More than 100 students, as well as leaders of the university, including the rector, Dr. Ivan Ortiz, attended the one-day event.
Dr. Yang gave an overview of the history of Korea’s development, from a country that was devastated following the Korean War to a country that is now one of the most developed in the world, and referenced it to Nicaragua’s development. Many of the attendees were inspired by his presentation.
In the evening, Dr. Yang and local Ambassadors for Peace met for dinner and Dr. Yang shared his experience participating in UPF’s International Leadership Conference in Korea in February.
