Lubumbashi, DR Congo - The first national convention of UPF Ambassadors for Peace took place in Lubumbashi, Katanga Province June 14-18 on the theme "The Millennium Development Goals and the Law of Shared Responsibility." There were 133 participants.

London, UK - A European Leadership Conference in London June 15-17 considered "Human Rights and the Protection of the Un-Empowered and the Dispossessed." Distinguished delegates from many European countries were in attendance.

Kikwit, DR Congo - UPF-DR Congo organized a conference on "Millennium Development Goals and Shared Responsibility" in Kikwit April 26-28. The conference inaugurated the chapter of UPF in Kikwit, the largest city of the Bandundu Province in the southwestern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
