La Merced, Peru - Dr. Trevor Jones, president of UPF-Peru, shared about the UPF vision for world peace under the title of "The Essential Pillars for Peace." He spoke on July 5, 2014, to an audience of over 500 women who had gathered in the Municipal Building of the jungle town of La Merced in Oxapampa, Peru.
The wives of previous mayors of the city attended the meeting and were appointed Ambassadors for Peace together with some Christian missionaries and local community leaders.
The President of the NGO "Peruvian Women" had organized this meeting for the eighth year, and she spoke enthusiastically about her participation in the UPF World Peace Summit in Korea last year.
At the end of the program many Christian women spoke to Dr. Jones, expressing their thanks for his message.
