Toronto Interfaith Forum: Understanding Scripture

Toronto, Canada - UPF’s monthly meeting on November 13 addressed topics related to a broader understanding of different religions. Rev. Mitch Dixon talked about the scriptures of various religions, Abdul R. Qureshi presented a brief lecture on the Patriarch Abraham (peace be upon him), and Earl Smith talked about the common value of peace through the teachings of Scientology. Dr. Hoossen Auckberaullee appraised the members about ongoing UPF activities within the Central District of UPF-Canada.

Officiating at an Interreligious Wedding in Colombia

Bogotá, Colombia - The first interfaith wedding in my role as the prayer leader of Shéggel took place on October 30 in Bogotá, Colombia. In the ceremony, the groom (a Jew) and the bride (a Catholic) undertook the challenge of becoming ambassadors to promote interreligious reconciliation.

Dialogue in Yekaterinburg with Sodruzhestvo Club

Yekaterinburg, Russia - On October 24 in Yekaterinburg, the meeting of the UPF-Ural chapter representatives and "Sodruzhestvo" club members took place. The founder of the club is a Protestant, A.B. Patrakov. Among the members are people of different nationalities and religions who practice a unified system of spiritual and moral values of all cultures and religions beyond theological differences and interreligious strife. The UPF pursues the same objective.
