Stuttgart, Germany - UPF in Stuttgart, Germany, was inspired that the UN declared this year the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures and decided to dedicate its annual intercultural event to this motto.

Moscow, Russia - The Moscow City Hall Department on Family and Youth gave a special award to UPF-Eurasia's Internet site, www.eurasia.upf.org. It received first prize in a contest of Internet sites with resources for preventing extremism and xenophobia among youth.

Madrid, Spain - On a lovely spring day, 33 people gathered to learn about the vision of the family in Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, and Unificationism. Interesting presentations about the importance of the family concluded with insights into developments in Afghanistan and prayers for peace in that country and the world.

Mutare, Zimbabwe - Bishops and missionaries of various churches from east and southern Africa as well as Zimbabwe paid tribute to Bishop Abel Muzorewa at his funeral in Mutare on April 17. The service ended with a recording of Bishop Muzorewa singing, "Till we meet again."
