Dushanbe, Tajikistan - The Universal Peace Federation and the Tajikistan Peace Foundation participated in a September 8 independence celebration at the Protection Center for Children, Refugees and Socially Vulnerable Citizens. The event was organized by refugee children, who created drawings on the theme of peace and prepared a performance.

Dombai, Russia - The first Caucasus Forum for the Youth of Russia took place July 23-31 in Dombai in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic of the Russian Federation. Forum participants proposed creating a Youth of Russia Interreligious Council to counter the xenophobia among young people of the various religious communities in the Caucasus region.

Kathmandu, Nepal - On his first visit to Nepal the International Chairman of UPF, Rev. Hyung Jin Moon, was charmed by its people, culture, religions, and food. He and his wife Yeon Ah spent time with government leaders, Ambassadors for Peace, youth, and families, ending with a visit to the birthplace of Buddha in Lumbini.

Tursunzoda, Tajikistan - Ambassadors for Peace of Tajikistan held their quarterly meeting at a home for elderly and handicapped people in the town of Tursunzoda on August 8. Along with caring hearts, they brought gifts of music, food, and humanitarian goods.
