The Just Third Way:
Universalizing Capital Ownership

Thursday, July 15 – 2:00 PM EST

As the global community continues to struggle its way out of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, the pandemics of poverty, racism, and war have worsened and spread. A tiny fraction of humanity has seen their share of wealth and power increase during the crisis, while a vast majority of people have become more economically insecure and powerless over their own futures. This panel will raise a historic and inescapable question. If our present paradigms of monopolistic capitalism and collectivist socialism have failed to offer universal principles, a unifying vision, and sustainable solutions, is it time for a new paradigm? Are there new ideas that can build a united constituency for free markets, private property, and limited economic power of the state?

Scholars from the Center for Economic and Social Justice will introduce the concept of "economic personalism," including its basic principles, historical development, practical applications, and a legislative package of monetary and tax reforms called the "Economic Democracy Act." Leaders, policymakers, and change agents will learn from pioneers in this area about a new framework for systemic solutions that would fulfill Article 17 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This "Just Third Way" would liberate and empower every human person, from birth to death, with equal opportunity and access to the means of gaining ownership of income-producing capital, without depriving anyone of their wealth or property rights.

This webinar will be held on Thursday, July 15 – 2:00 PM EST. By registering in advance you will be able to participate in the Zoom call and post questions directly to the presenters. Please register now to be able to participate in this informative discussion.
