The International Association for Peace and Economic Development presents
and International Business
The situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula is one of increasing tension and economic stagnation. The North Korean regime has become even more insular under the threat of the Covid pandemic, shutting down its borders to all but essential traffic. Relationships between Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China continue to be tense, and the new administration in the United States adds uncertainty to the issues of diplomacy and trade negotiations. So, are we headed for a new Cold War with China and/or a hot war with North Korea? In this atmosphere, what can we expect from the business and economic community to be able to ease these tensions and create a climate conducive to discussion and understanding?
