Nagoya, Japan - Japan Summit Leadership Conference (JSLC), co-sponsored by its executive committee and the Universal Peace Federation-Japan to be convened on October 5, 2019 in Nagoya, Japan. The theme for the JSLC is “Pacific Civilization Era: Peace in East Asia and Prospects for Japan-Korea-US Cooperation.”
A select group of high-level dignitaries from Japan, Korea, USA and other countries will be in attendance, including parliamentarians, academics, religious leaders, journalists, and civil society leaders.
There will be three sessions on October 5 with international speakers from Korea, USA, and other countries.
- Opening Plenary: 10:30-12:00 – Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founder of UPF, will deliver the keynote address.
- Session I: 13:30 -15:30 – “Peace in East Asia and Prospects for Japan-Korea-US Cooperation.”
Speakers will discuss recent tensions between Japan and Korea, aiming at reconciliation and cooperation for peace and security in the East Asia region.
- Session II: 16:00-17:50 – Declining birthrate and multicultural society: Revitalization of family and society
- Closing Banquet: 18:00 – Performance by The Little Angels Children’s Folk Ballet of Korea
October 6 – Family Peace Convocation at the Aichi Sky Expo near Centrair Airport
