Dr. B.K. Modi Appointed Ambassador for Peace

London, UK - Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Modi was presented with an Ambassador for Peace certificate on June 30 at the conclusion of a day's conference of the Global Citizen Forum in London. Dr. Modi is a renowned businessman, philanthropist, and Chairman of Spice Global. He was appointed by the United Nations as the Coordinator for the Indian subcontinent for the Millennium World Peace Summit. He has promoted interfaith cooperation and a global vision that has great similarity with UPF's founding concept of humanity being one family of a loving God.

This year's UN International Family Day theme, "Advancing Social Integration and Intergenerational Solidarity" is very appropriate tor UPF's ideals of creating "one Family under God," which is based on development of good families serving the community.
