Phnom Penh, Cambodia - The Cambodian Mekong University was the setting for a Legacy of Peace Ceremony on June 25. The University's Vice Chancellor welcomed the audience of 250 people, and Hon. Kong Uok, Vice Chair of the National Committee for Population and Development, introduced the ceremony. A Member of Parliament, Hon. Ho Naun, gave the opening speech.

Religious Youth Service Builds a Classroom at a Cambodian School

Participants in a Religious Youth Service project at the Qamaruddin Al-Islamiyan School in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Dec. 23-27, 2007, built an additional classroom, repainted the inside and outside of classrooms, and installed new toilets as well as visiting places of worship.


RYS Participants and Local Volunteers Restore Educational Facilities

Thailand/Cambodia – Together with local volunteers, the RYS participants were involved in the restoration of several educational facilities. In Thailand, service took place in the Buddhist community of Samut Prakan. Most of the participants (about 35) departed early to go to Siem Reap, Cambodia, where they worked in the Islamic community at the Qamaruddin Al-Islamiyan School located beside the mosque. 


Peace Tour Inaugurates UPF in Cambodia
