Youth UPF

UPF offers young people the opportunity to develop their capacity as leaders and peacebuilders and work together for the greater good, alongside people of many nations, cultures and religions. Holon, Israel - A delegation of volunteers from Russia visited Holon, Israel, from September 22 to 30. Young Ambassadors for Peace from different cities of Russia (Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Izhevsk, Nizhnevartovsk, and Kazan) were warmly welcomed by a group of kind community activists from Holon.

New Delhi, India - The Universal Peace Federation-India launched College Peace Clubs in three universities in New Delhi in August and September: Ram Lal Anand College and St. Stephen's College of the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia (the Islamic National University).

Multan, Pakistan - Participants in Pakistan's first Religious Youth Service project joined other young people in the nation and other parts of the world in holding a candlelight prayer vigil for the recovery of  Malala Yousufzai, the 14-year-old Pakistani student shot on October 9 as she was returning from school, defying a Taliban ban on education for girls. Participants in the October 12-19 program in central Pakistan engaged in various service-learning activities and providing safe drinking water and sanitation for Hindu slum dwellers.

Lake Seliger, Russia - The annual Seliger International Youth Forum concluded its work in Tver region of Russia on August 2. Thousands of young activists enjoyed the unique opportunity to present their programs, projects, and ideas to all interested parties and even to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, who came to the Forum specially to meet the best of the best.

Taranaki, New Zealand - A Synergy and Empowerment Workshop July 6-10 at the Eltham Presbyterian Campsite in Taranaki launched the Youth Federation for World Peace in New Zealand. The 41 youths from various parts of New Zealand heard lectures, trained in Tong Il Moo Do martial arts, and enjoyed hiking and other outdoor activities.

Tyumen, Russia - A psychologist who initiated the project “SoStudent.ru” and UPF activist, Evgeny Skvortsov, attended the meeting of youth leaders of the Tyumen region March 23-24 and conducted a number of classes for high school students and educators.
