Monza, Italy - Now in its seventh year, the Peace Trophy football tournament opened on April 29 and will continue with matches every Sunday afternoon until June 24. With teams representing the various cultures and backgrounds of the people in northern Italy, the competition encourages good sportsmanship, friendship, and mutual respect.

Seoul, Korea - Eurasian athletes took medals at the recent World Festival of Culture and Sports (including the Wongu Peace Cup) in South Korea March 21 to 24. Professionals and amateurs from 40 nations competed as continental teams for medals in football, basketball, 100 m and 400 m races, table tennis, badminton, martial arts, and traditional Asian games of harmony and unity.

Gangtok, India - The Universal Peace Federation of Sikkim co-sponsored the Hills Men's Open Volleyball and Constituency Level Women Volleyball Tournaments October 15-24, 2011 at the Chuba School Playground, South Sikkim. G.M. Gurung, Chairman of UPF-Sikkim, addressed the opening ceremony for the 18 men's and 16 women's teams. He described the vision of UPF Founder Dr. Sun Myung Moon of sports as a way to build bridges and harmonize people. For details, click here.

Parnu, Estonia - On the Baltic seacoast in Parnu, Estonia, the annual Parnu Summer Cup youth football tournament took place from June 30 to July 3 under the slogan of "Play Football Make Peace." During the period of several days, more than 100 football players from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Ukraine, and Russia competed with the desire to become the best of the best.

Yekaterinbrg, Russia - The complete text of the motto of the “Run Hour” activity that was held on Saturday, June 4, was “Outrun me on 100m and get your prize!” All those who know something about the activity also know that it is usually held on Sundays. Novazzano, Switzerland - the Universal Peace Federation of Ticino organized the first Peace Cup tournament in the town of Novazzano. This football tournament brought together 12 teams of children for a day of sports under the motto “Play Football Make Peace.”

Moscow, Russia - The “Run Hour” program initiated in Urals region in 2008 by youth Peace Ambassadors was adopted by the Moscow City government this year as part of the Russian National Week of Goodness. Other cities took up the program even without UPF participation, and we do not know the extent of the program.

Ufa, Russian Federation - Young Peace Ambassadors have taken up the "Run Hour” program that began in Yekaterinburg in 2008. On April 4, the sports event started in Yekaterinburg at 2:00 pm, and then the baton was picked up in Ufa.

Yekaterinburg and Ufa, Russia - Youth Ambassadors for Peace in Yekaterinburg have been promoting the monthly "Run Hour" sports initiative since 2008. Since then the project has spread to more cities in the Urals, and athletes in Ufa, the capital of the Bashkir Republic of the Russian Federation, took the program over.
