Human Rights Day Observed in Kabul Print E-mail
By UPF - Afghanistan
Friday, December 10, 2010

Kabul, Afghanistan - Mr. Umberto Angelucci, Director of UPF-Afghanistan, together with the Independent Human Rights Commission of Afghanistan, implemented an educational program for the writers of the national curriculum of the Ministry of Education. In order to improve the capacity of the writers, character education material was presented for addition in the national curriculum.

This partnership with the IHRCA has been ongoing since 2009 with an educational program for the National Directors of the Educational Units for the Commission.

The Independent Human Rights Commission of Afghanistan has translated UPF's character education material into the Dari (the Afghani form of Farsi) for use by educators.

UPF-Afghanistan also worked with the commission to celebrate Human Rights Day, December 10.
