Tbilisi, Georgia - In support of the UPF initiative for world peace, stable families, and international friendship, the Youth Center of Tbilisi hosted a meeting on November 13. Vitaly Maximov gave a speech about the origin of the International Day of Tolerance, the meaning of family, and the international initiative “An Hour of Running.” Children participated in contests and answered questions in a quiz about family. About 70 participants attended the program, which was followed by an hour of running.

A program for the UN International Day of Tolerance was organized in High School No. 136 in Tbilisi, Georgia by the Young Peace Ambassadors in partnership with the school administration on November 16.

Young Peace Ambassador George Tumasyan together with UPF representative Marika Gamsakhurdia conducted the training for the students in grade 12. They prepared a poster, shared about the meaning and history of this day, explained the meaning of tolerance, conducted a inventory on “self-esteem,” and led role-plays called “gossip” and “no offense.”

At the end of the training, students expressed their determination to be more tolerant in their relationships.
