Geneva, Switzerland - Soprano soloist Seiko Lee gave a concert on August 31 to raise funds for humanitarian relief in Haiti at the Temple de la Servette in Geneva. Rev. William McComish, pastor of the church, introduced the event, and Dr. Alexandre, representing Haiti's Ambassador to the UN offices in Geneva, gave welcoming remarks.

Seiko Lee was introduced as having re­ceived the mission of the founders of UPF to give a message of peace and love to the whole world. She sang wonderfully, invest­ing her heart into the audience as if there were thousands pre­sent.

For her first three songs, Benoît Yuen, who had come from Paris for the occasion accompanied her. They practiced for many hours before the concert to perfect every detail. Seiko’s voice and her investment of heart have a healing impact on the audience.

Her manager did a great job projecting images and coordinating the background music on Seiko’s songs. She showed pictures of tours in various cities of the world and her effort in Japan to raise funds for breast cancer research. At the end, an older lady gave her the medal she had received at a music school when she was seven years old. Donations for Haitian relief totaled CHF 473.
