New York, USA - A Japanese Tea Ceremony was hosted by the Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the United Nations on April 27 at the Tunisian House.

Chadou, the Japanese Tea Ceremony, is an ancient tradition of reflection and contemplation that can foster peace. UPF conducts periodic tea ceremonies as a service to the hard-working UN diplomatic community.

H.E. Mr. Ghazi and Mrs. Dalenda Jomaa, Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the UN and his wife, hosted the ceremony, and Mrs. Fumie Watanabe was the tea master. Guests from the diplomatic community included five ambassadors, the Permanent Observer of the League of Arab States, and the Chef de Cabinet of the Office of the President of the General Assembly.
