Bangui, Central African Republic - Educational programs are being held for Ambassadors for Peace and plans are underway to develop Youth Ambassadors for Peace clubs, a conference for women, and a fish farming project. Fifty top leaders from Ouango, east of the capital, attended a one-day conference and were appointed Ambassadors for Peace. Our staff did a wonderful job of inviting key people and attending to them during the conference. The caliber of leaders who attended this conference was very impressive. Other activities being planned are a follow-up seminar in Galabaja for about 50 people who are interested in becoming Ambassadors for Peace. A Youth Leadership Seminar will be offered to students at Bangui University, and Youth Ambassador for Peace clubs will be established in three different areas. A meeting has been set up with the president of the women's groups in the area to prepare for a conference for women. |
