Dialogue & Alliance

Together we want to help the world see and believe in a better future.
Ban Ki-moon
South Asia Peace Initiative Print E-mail

The transition of Nepal from a Hindu monarchy to a parliamentary democracy has been marked by violent insurgents. UPF is building understanding and cooperation through leadership conferences, interreligious dialogue, and service projects. The goal is to bridge the divides among diverse peoples, resolve conflicts, and cultivate the spirit of one family under God.

The work in Nepal brings together leaders from all political persuasions to dialogue freely among themselves in the process of creating a new Constitution. These forums began a process of reconciliation which helped bring militant insurgents into the political mainstream.
