Americas Initiative

UPF fosters understanding, harmony, and cooperation among the nations, peoples, and faith traditions of the Americas. It sponsors fact-finding trips, leadership conferences, exchange visits, and service projects to build closer relations among people and promote development, human security, and peace.

For example, the Americas Summit in Washington, DC, in 2008 brought together 160 delegates from 32 nations in the Americas to consider the challenges and opportunities for peace and development throughout the hemisphere.
